Amazon will invest more than USD 233 million in India in 2025 to expand its operations infrastructure, enhance its fulfilment network, and improve delivery safety.

The company announced the investment on Thursday, stating it will support the launch of new sites and upgrades to existing facilities across its delivery and fulfilment network.
The move aims to increase processing capacity and speed, while also integrating new technology to alert delivery associates about unsafe speeds and ensure fair distribution of delivery routes.

Amazon said the investment builds on its previous efforts to establish a network capable of delivering to all serviceable pin codes in India.
Part of the funds will also go toward initiatives focused on improving the health and financial well-being of Amazon employees.
In June 2023, Amazon said it would increase its total investment in India to USD 26 billion by 2030, though it did not provide a detailed breakdown at the time.
In a separate development, Amazon Web Services announced in March that it would invest about USD 8.2 billion in India, according to the country's information technology ministry.
