The surge in sales was driven primarily by the popularity of Apple's iPhones, which accounted for more than half of the total sales in the country.

The report also highlighted that Apple had not responded immediately to a request for comment from Reuters regarding this impressive sales growth. However, this news comes on the heels of a previous report by Bloomberg News in April, which revealed that Apple had manufactured iPhones worth a staggering US$14 billion in India during the previous fiscal year. Furthermore, it was disclosed that Apple produces up to 14% of its flagship devices in India.

The majority of iPhones manufactured in India are produced at the Sriperumbudur plant, located approximately 25 miles west of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. This facility has played a crucial role in Apple's efforts to expand its manufacturing capabilities and meet the growing demand for its products in the Indian market.
